I took Johns Hopkins University's Data Science as my Minor Specialization, where I learned how to effectively apply data analysis to tackle real-world problems. Throughout the program, I was exposed to a myriad of topics, ranging from R programming and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to regression, machine learning, data visualization, and even ethics in data science. Through this rigorous curriculum, I gained the skills necessary to seamlessly import, clean, and manipulate data using R, identify patterns and trends through EDA, accurately predict future outcomes using regression models, classify and cluster data using machine learning algorithms, and present data in a clear and informative manner. As a mechanical engineer with a strong background in mathematics and science, I am now able to combine my expertise in data analysis with my existing skillset to effectively solve real-world problems and confidently communicate my findings.
